Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. While working as a summer intern at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated by theatre. Then in her time at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. In the two years following her graduation, she launched an Broadway career. The following year, she began her career she was on television. Since then, she has been in numerous films as well as stage and TV productions. Her nominations include three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and has won numerous awards throughout her professional career. In spite of her many awards, she still loves the theatre, and has appeared on both screen and stage.
