Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. Her early Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The Tony Award was given to her for the role of Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her career working alongside famous directors and actors both on screen and in television. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will be released in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), exactly the same group that created Hamilton is directing the production. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings in Over 100 Years. The two-season run she had on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first major part. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and brought up in Denver and now lives living in Los Angeles and New York.
