April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey in the 7th grade in which she began guitar and piano lessons. April Lockhart penned her first track, Different at the age 12 years old. As April approached 14 years old, she devoted the majority of her time making song concepts as well as perfecting the song. She started writing songs with her dad at home in NY and LA soon after. April was also able to add other themes in the track "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart is a popular figure and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is what makes her who she is. However, that's not the whole story. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny the fact that she has a disability. But it also doesn't emphasize her disability. The message? that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and we're greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart said via video that she does not want to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't want to be a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are many aspects of Lockhart. My everyday life isn't affected by it. I live my normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to problems. In addition, I see that it is a crucial component of my life. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that will last an entire lifetime. She is an inspiration with regard to this. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods of feeling uneasy about her appearance as well as wearing clothes with arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she'd like. She also posts her photos on social networks. She says that self-love is a process. It's hard to say whether you'll get to the point of no return. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity. The people around you with who truly know you, and can see inside your soul are the best people to remind you of what you're worried about.
