Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for the Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in the year 1970. She took home three golds at her debut competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an older senior. The first female to complete a reverse double salo with the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey to the world of entertainment began as a teenager. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows were ice skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
