Felicity Jones is a British actress best known because of her role as Jane Hawking in the critically well-reviewed film The Theory of Everything. Jones began her acting career at age of 12 and appeared in various TV series, plays, and films. Her first role was in the television film The Treasure Seekers. In The Worst Witch she played Ethel Hallow. Then came Weirdsistersisters Sisters, a sequel of The Worst Witch. The first feature film she acted in was Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she went on and acted in various other movies. She gained popularity for her role in films like The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The most notable was her performance as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything that made her the recipient of an Oscar for the first time. Jones was praised by the public and critics for portraying Hawking's former wife as she appeared in The Theory of Everything, a Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno, the Tom Hanks thriller was her next role. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her extraordinary talent and work to film.
